This is a path created from between the knowledge of the Conti Aldobrandeschi and the Sforza of Santa Fiora until 1624. here you will see the Robbiane pottery and the giant fish pond where Pope Pius II Piccolomini stayed. The Nature Park of Monte Labbro offers various excursion possibilities: nature trails with observation points to see the animals that live here; trails that follow all things related to the prophet David Lazzaretti, the forerunner of real socialism (the free church in a free state); the spiritual paths that take in the Tibetan centre for Buddhism, Merigar, a place of peace that the Dalai Lama visits. In this itinerary we’ll visit the village of Arcidosso, also linked to the Aldobrandeschi, including a climb up to the castello at the top of the town.
